Out in the Streets is a revolutionary art project by Creative Arts Activist Skeith DeWine and in collaboration with the Creative Vision Foundation of Malibu, California, is set to transform the world of skateboarding by shining a spotlight on the often overlooked BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities within the sport.
By highlighting the contributions and resilience of these of these athletes, our goal is to foster greater equity and inclusion, especially now as the excitement of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics builds.
This project’s aim is to place diversity and inclusion at the forefront by using art to present human rights issues and to be used as a movement for social change. Future generations will be inspired by these heroes that are breaking down barriers in this sport to continue the legacy and to champion the values of equity, representation, and community.
